O'Hare International Airport (773-686-2200) handles more passengers than any other airport in the world. For visitors needing information or directions, airport information booths are located on the lower levels of the domestic terminals and on the upper and lower levels of the International Terminal. A foreign currency exchange is located on the lower level of the International Terminal. It's 13 miles from O’Hare to downtown. During rush-hour it can take about an hour. During the middle of the day and evenings it takes around 30 minutes. Taking a taxi to/from the airport varies depending on travel time from $30-50 from O’Hare. Midway Airport (773.838.0600) is located at 5700 South Cicero Avenue and is conveniently located 10 miles from downtown Chicago. Midway’s one terminal building has three concourses – A, B and C.Airport information booths are located in the ticketing lobby, baggage claim and the concessions food court. Midway has two primary parking lots:Terminal Garage (with daily and hourly parking) located adjacent to the terminal building and Economy Parking located along 55 Street. There is a complimentary shuttle between the economy parking lots and the terminal building every 15 minutes. Travel between Midway and downtown Chicago is normally 20 minutes but during rush-hour periods, travel times may increase to 45 minutes. The airport is served by the CTA Orange Line train which is a 25 minute trip from downtown. All vehicle pick-up services are available on the lower level roadway. Taking a taxi between Midway and downtown is approximately $28-$32. Both airports offer plentiful taxi service to downtown and the suburbs. Rates from range $30 - $50 from O'Hareand $28 - $32 from Midway. Rates vary based on travel time.
GO Airport Express provides shared ride services to all downtown / suburban hotels and many businesses. It departs every 10-15 minutes from O’Hare and Midway baggage claim. From O’Hare: Cost is $25 per person one–way or roundtrip $46; more than one traveler - $18 per person one-way or roundtrip $34. From Midway: Cost is $20 per person one-way or roundtrip $36; more than one traveler - $14 per person one-way or roundtrip $26. | |

Chicago was recently voted the best bicycling city in the country and visitors will find the city to be very accommodating to bike enthusiasts. The Chicago Department of Transportation’s Bike Program provides comprehensive information about city biking including maps, parking, and more. Chicago currently has more than 110 miles of on-street bike lanes, more than 30 miles of marked shared lanes, many miles of off-street paths (including the 18.5-mile Lakefront Trail), more than 12,000 bike racks, and sheltered, high-capacity, bike parking areas at many CTA rail stations. Getting to McCormick Place is easy and convenient. There are two main parking lots on the McCormick Place campus. Both are in close proximity and walking distance to our convention complex. Events in Lakeside Center and Arie Crown Theater designate Lot C as the primary parking location, while events in the North, South and West Buildings designate Lot A garage as the primary parking location. Lot C (6'4" h clearance) is an underground garage with 1,900 parking spaces and is located on Ft. Dearborn Drive, adjacent to the Lakeside Center. The parking rate is a flat fee of $19 per day with no in-and-out privileges. This parking lot is open throughout event hours. Overnight parking is not available. Lot B (also known as 31st Street Lot) is an outdoor surface parking lot located at 31st Street near Lake Shore Drive South and Moe Drive. It holds over 1,800 vehicles. The parking rate is a flat fee of $14 per day with no in-and-out privileges. This parking lot is open throughout event hours. Overnight parking is not available.
